Your website should be designed for somebody, not everybody!
Before you go looking for a web designer to build your site, make sure you know what your niche is. Without this your website will not be audience specific and simply get lost in the nethers of the world wide web.
Make sure whatever it is that you are doing, fulfills your needs to be happy, because when you spend 40+ hours a week doing something you don’t love, you will soon feel out lost and dissatisfied.
All too often people market their business first, and themselves second. If we take a moment and think about this, I think we will find that this is backwards. To go even further, marketing yourself before you show a potential client you care and are worth working with, is wrong as well. Let’s think of an example to clear up any confusion you might be having.
I cannot stress this enough! If someone goes to your website and cannot understand what it is you do/who you are in 5 seconds or less, your potential of them continuing on drops significantly. So remember when you or your web designer are creating the landing page, make sure it’s SUPER CLEAR
